KRMC visitor restrictions

Kingman, Arizona, June 10, 2020 – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will allow limited visitation for some hospitalized patients. The hospital has been closed to all visitors since March 14 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patients who are not under isolation precautions (those who test negative for COVID-19 or other infectious disease) can now receive visitors within the following constraints:

  • Visitation is permitted twice daily, from 8am -10am and again from 5pm -7pm.
  • Non-isolation patients are allowed one visitor per day during visiting hours.
  • Visitors must wear a mask to gain entrance to the hospital. KRMC does not supply masks and visitors must bring their own– cloth masks are acceptable.
  • Individuals who feel sick – especially those exhibiting cold and flu-like symptoms will not be permitted to visit.
  • Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to visit patients.

Visitor restrictions are still in place for patients in isolation. To preserve personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical caregivers, KRMC is unable to provide visitors the necessary PPE to protect their safety in isolation areas.

Family members and friends can visit with isolated patients via electronic communications. WI-FI is available in every patient room.

Visitors are still restricted in KRMC’s Emergency Department (ED), Urgent Care, and outpatient clinics. The hospital continues to monitor the situation and will further open these areas to visitors as safety precautions permit.

Patients and visitors are required to wear masks at all KRMC facilities and will be screened for symptoms upon entrance.

Kingman, Arizona, April 6, 2020 – To limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community, KRMC has implemented strict visitor restrictions―including at the KRMC emergency room (ER). At this time, children under 12 who are not patients are restricted from entering the ER.

Please do not bring children to the ER unless they need emergency medical care. Children who are not needing medical care cannot enter the facility.

With visitor restrictions, KRMC has no way to accommodate unattended children while their parent or caregiver is receiving medical attention.

Kingman, Arizona, March 26, 2020 – To protect the health and safety of patients, their families, staff, and our community during the COVID-19 outbreak, KRMC is implementing additional visitor restrictions.

Effective at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2020, ALL visitors are restricted in the hospital— unless pre-approved by each patient's care team under extenuating circumstances. Examples for exceptions include birth partners or end-of-life visits.

The patient’s care team will inform their loved ones if visitation is permitted and will provide them further guidance for entering the hospital.

KRMC will continue to provide certain outpatient services at the hospital. All persons must enter at the main entrance where they will be screened and directed to the appropriate location.
