KRMC Visitor Restrictions

CURRENTLY AT
LEVEL 2
VISITOR RESTRICTIONS

•    Visiting hours: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
•    Non-infectious patients allowed one visitor per day.
•    Visitors must be 18 years of age or older (exceptions at the discretion of the patient’s physician)

For hospitalized patients, support from friends and loved ones is vital for comfort and healing. Therefore, Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is committed to allowing visitors to the extent that it is safely possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you plan to visit a patient at KRMC, please check our current visitor guidelines as they can change from week to week. See below for more on how we determine our visitor guidelines.

Visitation in COVID isolation areas

To help minimize the spread of infection at KRMC, patients who have COVID-19 (or other infectious disease) are cared for in special isolation areas within the hospital.

In general, visitors are not permitted in COVID isolation areas. However, in some circumstances, you can visit a patient in isolation at the discretion of their physician. For further information, please talk directly with your loved one’s nurse or doctor.

Also, friends and family can visit patients in isolation via electronic communications.  Free WI-FI is available throughout the hospital.

Visitation in non-COVID areas

KRMC has implemented a flexible visitation policy for non-COVID areas. We adjust our visiting hours and other guidelines according to KRMC’s weekly positivity rate.

The positivity rate is the percentage of people who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all COVID-19 diagnostic tests conducted at KRMC during the prior week.  It indicates COVID-19 spread in our community. The higher the rate, the more the virus is spreading in the local population.

When community transmission is high, we increase our visitor restrictions to limit virus transmission to patients and staff.

As the weekly positivity rate goes up or down, we will post our visiting guidelines according to the following categories.

VISITOR RESTRICTIONS ARE BASED ON THE CURRENT COVID-19 POSITIVITY RATE

Level 2: MODERATE VISITOR RESTRICTIONS (COVID-19 positivity rate 5%- 10%)
