Finding breast cancer early is crucial

Breast cancer begins when cells in the breast start to grow abnormally.  Those cells replicate, creating more irregular cells and resulting in the growth of a tumor. Eventually the lymph system and blood vessels can carry the cancer cells to other tissues and organs in the body and spread the disease. Additionally, the body’s own hormones can help accelerate the growth of some tumors.
