Kingman, Arizona, May 18, 2021 –The Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI) has honored KRMC’s Joshua Tree Pediatrics with two awards in recognition of the practice’s immunization success.

On April 28, 2021, Joshua Tree Pediatrics was presented with a Daniel T. Cloud award for their toddler vaccination rate – 87% of toddler patients completed their vaccination series with the practice in the previous year.

Included in the toddler vaccine series are immunizations against hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis (DTaP), haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), polio, rotavirus, pneumococcal, measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox), and hepatitis A.

“Joshua Tree has received this award in years past and will continue to work toward eradicating these childhood diseases,” said Jessica Coglietti, RN, BSN of KRMC.

Joshua Tree also received a TAPI Big Shot award for their extraordinary efforts in maintaining patients’ regular vaccination schedules throughout the pandemic.
The practice faced many challenges as nurses and providers were temporarily redeployed to care for COVID-19 patients. Staff and providers went above and beyond to meet immunization requirements for patients. “The whole clinic did a great job to achieve this during a pandemic,” said Katie Zumwalt, interim manager of Joshua Tree Pediatrics. “Everyone worked together to make this happen.”
