It's National Doctors' Day, and KRMC would like to thank our doctors for all they do. From the compassionate care they show our patients, to the skilled leadership they provide for their teams, KRMC's doctors deserve to be celebrated!
Each year, KRMC's staff nominate countless exceptional doctors and ultimately vote for one to be named Physician of the Year. This year's winner is Dr. Christopher Tomby. Dr. Tomby is a graduate of KRMC’s family medicine residency program, and he joined KRMC's hospitalist service in 2020. As a hospitalist, he provides care for patients who are admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Tomby was nominated multiple times, and almost all the submissions had these terms in common: "kind, hardworking, compassionate." All who work with him describe Dr. Tomby as a team player who takes his time to communicate with patients and their families about their care.
