Whether you’re a first-time mom or you’ve been through labor before, the labor and birth process can be both overwhelming and joyful. Childbirth classes are a great way to prepare for welcoming your newborn baby into the world. They can give you (and your partner) the confidence to handle one of the most momentous experiences of your life.
Through this childbirth class, you will:
- Become confident
- Determine your birth preferences
- Understand the stages of labor
- Learn labor positions
- Learn about pain relief options, including alternative approaches to pain relief
- Learn about possible delivery complications and how they are handled
- Learn about medical interventions that may be used, such as cesarean section delivery or induction of labor
- Get a head start on postpartum and newborn care
- Share concerns and feelings with other expecting parents in a welcoming environment
