KRMC withdraws employee vaccine mandate

December 1, 2021

Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) CEO Will McConnell announced today that the health system would no longer require vaccination against COVID-19 for its employees.

This announcement comes after a federal judge issued an injunction to pause the mandate for healthcare facilities that receive funding from Medicare or Medicaid programs. The mandate was scheduled to take effect on Monday, December 6th.

“We do hope our employees will consider vaccination for their own safety and the safety of our community, but we understand that many have personal and medical reservations about getting vaccinated,” said McConnell.  He further encouraged employees to consult hospital leadership for any questions or concerns they may have about the vaccines.

KRMC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as the mandate continues through the court of appeals.
