The Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Foundation wishes to extend its sincerest thanks to the following local businesses who donated a combined total of over $26,200 to the KRMC Catch It Early program in 2021:

KRMC’s Catch It Early program is focused on detecting breast cancer before it spreads beyond the breast, when treatment is most effective.
The best test to find breast cancer early is called a “mammogram,” which is a low-dose X-ray of the breast. It can show an extremely small tumor before a patient or doctor can feel it in a breast exam. Early detection with mammograms saves many thousands of lives each year.
Through the KRMC Catch it Early program, all women aged 40 and over who live in Mohave County can receive a free (no out-of-pocket cost) yearly screening mammogram at KRMC.
If a mammogram result is abnormal, the Catch It Early program also helps cover further diagnostic testing and breast health services for uninsured/underinsured women who qualify.
With the generous support of this community, KRMC’s Catch It Early program provided breast health services for thousands of Mohave County women in 2021. Of 7,512 screening mammograms performed at KRMC last year, 110 resulted in a breast cancer diagnosis.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from these community organizations,” said Teri Williams, Catch It Early program director. “We want to be sure that every woman in Mohave County has access to the breast health services they need. Together, we’re saving many lives from breast cancer.”
