James McKinney, MD

Dr. James S. McKinney is a Board Certified General Surgeon adept in the surgical treatment of a broad spectrum of diseases and conditions. He is also certified in laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery and highly skilled in endoscopic procedures. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the evaluation and management of trauma, diseases of the thyroid, breast disease, ulcer, reflux and gallbladder disease, as well as disorders of the small and large bowel.

Dr. McKinney joined the Mohave Surgical Specialists in October 2015. He completed his medical education and surgical training in Washington, DC at Howard University Hospital. Training in a large metropolitan city, he was exposed to a large volume of trauma and a variety of pathology within an extremely diverse patient population. Devoted to education, Dr. McKinney actively participated in the instruction and training of medical students and surgical residents.

In Kingman he hopes to provide individual and intimate care to his patients by always applying the most current standard of care and offering personalized attention.
