Donna M. Clavo, DO

As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Donna Clavo provides care for patients throughout the surgical process. This includes pain relief, sedation, and a focus on the patient’s safety before, during, and after surgery.

Dr. Clavo was a nurse for ten years before she decided to attend medical school to advance her education and career.

She chose to specialize in anesthesiology because of the range of experiences it offers. "I take care of a wide gamut of patients from children to the elderly, healthy to very ill," she says. She performs various tasks that require advanced critical thinking, such as choosing appropriate medications for each individual patient and procedure, adjusting for side effects in real time.
