Kenneth D. Jackson, MD

For the past 42 years, Dr. Kenneth Jackson has served his patients with spirit, dedication, and skill. Specializing in obstetrics and family practice, Dr. Jackson is devoted not only to his Kingman patients but to others in some of the most remote parts of the state. After completing his internship, Dr. Jackson began practicing at the Indian Health Service hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. He remained there for five years and then practiced for another ten years in Pinetop, Arizona.

Over the years, Dr. Jackson has delivered in excess of 4,000 babies. He says that he is still passionate about his work and takes great joy in the rapport that develops between him and his patients. He adds that a “bond for life” occurs when he provides prenatal care throughout a pregnancy and then delivers the baby. “I love to be there for the moms,” he says.

In 2010, Dr. Kenneth Jackson was named Country Doctor of the Year. This prestigious national award honors a primary care physician who exemplifies the spirit of rural practitioners. It is given by Staff Care, the largest physician staffing service in the country, to physicians practicing in communities of 30,000 or less.
