Community Education & Events

Public education on health matters is vital to achieving a healthier community. KRMC conducts extensive outreach in our community and hosts a variety of free public events where adults and children can learn about health, wellness, and available resources in our area.

Health Fairs

We conduct four health fairs per year that are free and open to the public. Scores of local and regional organizations participate— offering services and information to enhance your health, safety, and wellbeing.

  • Senior Health Expo (January)
  • Kid’s Day Health and Safety Fair (May)
  • Men’s Health Expo (July)
  • Women’s Health Expo (October)

If your organization would like to have a booth at a KRMC health fair, please contact the KRMC Public Relations office at 928-263-3873 at least one month prior to the fair.

Kare Bear Program

KRMC uses a fun and engaging approach to educate local children on the importance of living healthy. Kare Bear visits local classrooms to talk about and demonstrate such topics as:

  • Adequate sleep
  • Bike safety and helmet use
  • Cough etiquette
  • Eating healthy
  • Exercise for both mind and body
  • Hand hygiene
  • Making healthy choices
  • Oral hygiene
  • Sun safety
  • Water safety

To arrange for a Kare Bear visit, please contact KRMC Public Relations at 928-263-3873.
