What you need to know about hepatitis C
By Kingman Regional Medical Center Staff
Hepatitis C is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV). It is a major cause of liver cancer and end-stage liver disease.
According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, Mohave County has the highest rate of hepatitis C in Arizona. Unfortunately, many people who are infected, don’t know it. Therefore, it’s vital that people in our community learn how HCV is spread, how to protect against it, how to be tested for it, and how it can be cured.
We invite you to watch this informative presentation by Kingman Regional Medical Center Pharmacy Resident, Lap Truong, PharmD as he describes what you need to know about this serious viral disease.
