Volunteers Offer Scholarships to Local Healthcare Students
By Kingman Regional Medical Center Staff
The Volunteer Services program at Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will award tuition scholarships to selected students pursuing a career in healthcare.
Students who are enrolled for the fall 2019 semester can apply. Full-time students may qualify for up to $1000 in tuition assistance; part-time students may qualify for up to $750.
Applications are available on KRMC’s website at: azkrmc.com/volunteer-services-scholarship-application/. Printed applications may also be obtained and submitted at the KRMC Gift Boutique near the main entrance of the hospital.
The deadline to apply is Monday, April 1, 2019 at 5:00 pm. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Scholarship awards will be announced by May 31, 2019.
Over 150 people currently volunteer at KRMC to assist patients and visitors. KRMC volunteers also conduct fundraisers and run the hospital Gift Boutique— using proceeds to purchase medical equipment and to provide scholarships to students who are pursuing healthcare careers.
