About Me

As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty certification in sports medicine, Dr. Oldham is an expert in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of injuries to joints, ligaments, tendons, and bone. His expertise includes minimally-invasive arthroscopic procedures for the knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle. He is also highly skilled in the latest techniques for joint replacement or partial-joint replacement in shoulders, knees, and hips. Additionally, he performs reconstructive ligament and cartilage surgery.

Prior to coming to KRMC, Dr. Oldham served as an Air Force Orthopedic Surgeon for 14 years, which included several deployments to combat zones in the Middle East. Most recently, he was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With his training at Mayo and subsequent military experience, Dr. Oldham’s background has always involved a strong emphasis on teamwork for providing high-quality medical care. He says of his colleagues at KRMC Orthopedics. "Dr. Allen, Dr. Cornelsen and I have teamed together to provide the best possible orthopedic care. We are excited to have the manpower and resources to allow us to serve the orthopedic needs of the community."

According to Dr. Oldham, the best scenario for providing patient-specific orthopedic care involves a multidisciplinary team of skilled orthopedic and rehabilitation specialists, nurses, and technicians. The team uses advanced technologies and evidence-based procedures to provide comprehensive care throughout testing, treatment, and recovery. He adds, "We also consider patients and their family members an essential part of our team and involve them in all phases of the planning and decision process regarding their care. To put it simply, we’re all in it together until the patient can achieve their best possible level of function."
