Ana C. Mercedes Germosen, MD
Kingman, AZ 86409-3593
As a cardiologist, Dr. Mercedes diagnoses and treats conditions of the cardiovascular system – the heart and blood vessels.
Dr. Mercedes attended Instituto Tecnologico De Santo Domingo, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and then completed her residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. She went on to complete fellowships in rheumatology, internal medicine, and cardiology. Her fellowship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine centered on preventative cardiology and women’s cardiovascular health.
Dr. Mercedes is passionate about women’s cardiovascular care, saying "Women with heart or vascular issues can have different symptoms than men, so they often don’t seek cardiovascular care because they aren’t aware of the problem."
Dr. Mercedes focuses on patient education as a preventative care measure, teaching her patients how to care for their bodies to avoid a cardiovascular issue before it occurs, or to minimize complications if an issue has developed.
She chose KRMC because in a small-town practice she can get to know her patients "I want to treat my patients like I would treat family, and in a setting like this patients can become family."
Dr. Mercedes is excited to join KRMC’s cardiovascular program: "KRMC’s facility for treating cardiovascular disease is top notch, and I was impressed by the backgrounds of my colleagues here at Kingman Cardiovascular Associates."
