Emergency

Call 911 or immediately go to the nearest emergency room for any of the following conditions, which are a threat to life or limb and require immediate medical attention.

  • Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction)
  • Asthma attack (severe)
  • Broken bone (when bone is visible)
  • Burns (severe)
  • Coughing or vomiting (severe)
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Diarrhea or dehydration (severe)
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Electrical shock (severe)
  • High fever (over 104 degrees F.)
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Poison ingestion
  • Seizure
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe trauma
    • Uncontrollable bleeding
    • Amputated limb
    • Multiple bone fractures
    • Possible neck fracture
    • Serious head injury
  • Shock
  • Suicidal feelings
  • Symptoms of STROKE (ALWAYS call 911 for stroke symptoms—time is of the essence!)
    • Sudden dizziness
    • Numbness or paralysis
    • Difficulty seeing
    • Difficulty speaking
    • Confusion or changes in mental status
  • Symptoms of HEART ATTACK (ALWAYS call 911 for heart attack symptoms— time is of the essence!)
    • Chest pain with pressure or pain radiating into jaw, teeth, shoulder or back
    • Heart palpitations with dizziness
    • Shortness of breath, sweating, and/or nausea or vomiting
  • Vaginal bleeding during pregnancy

Urgent Care

Visit KRMC Urgent Care to receive same-day care (without an appointment) for any of the following conditions:

  • Allergies
  • Asthma attack (mild or moderate)
  • Broken bone (with no skin penetration)
  • Burns (minor)
  • Earaches
  • Eye infections
  • Insect bites or rashes
  • Minor cuts/wounds/stitches
  • Rashes
  • Skin infections
  • Sore throat
  • Sprains, strains, or deep bruises
  • Upper respiratory infections
    • Cough
    • Congestions
    • Fever or flu symptoms
    • Sinus problems
    • Bronchitis
  • Urinary tract infections

Primary Care

Contact your primary care provider for concerns involving any of the following conditions. Your provider will advise you on if you should get immediate care at the ER or Urgent Care or will schedule you for an appointment:

  • Allergies
  • Asthma attack (mild or moderate)
  • Bladder infections
  • Burns (minor)
  • Earaches and eye or skin infections
  • Flu shots
  • Insect bites or rashes
  • Management of a chronic condition
  • Migraine headaches
  • Minor cuts/wounds/stitches
  • Minor head injuries
  • Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
  • Possible pregnancy
  • Regular physicals, prescription refills, vaccinations, and screenings
  • Sprains, strains, or deep bruises
  • Upper respiratory infections: coughs, congestions, fever or flu symptoms, sinus problems, sore throat, bronchitis
