Acute Hemodialysis
Our acute hemodialysis service is available to those who require
dialysis on an inpatient (hospitalized) basis, with very
close monitoring.
We offer patients the convenience of being treated near home
by an experienced nursing staff using the most technologically
advanced
hemodialysis equipment available. We treat patients afflicted
with acute kidney failure in addition to those with chronic
kidney disease
or kidney failure.
Dialysis is needed when kidneys no longer remove enough wastes
and fluid from your blood to keep you healthy. This usually happens
when
you have only 10 to 15 percent of your kidney function left. You
may have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, swelling and fatigue.
Even
if you do not have these symptoms, you may still require dialysis – your
doctor is the best person to tell you if and when you should start
dialysis.
Did You Know…
20 million Americans – 1 in 9 U.S. adults – have Chronic
Kidney Disease and another 20 million more are at increased risk.
