KRMC Pediatric Unit Receives Handmade Pillowcases
from
Members of the Kingman Angel Network recently visited the KRMC Pediatric Unit to donate over 50 handmade pillowcases for young patients. Visiting members included Diane Manning (Angel Network Founder) and Marilyn Johnson (Pillowcase Project Manager). Eleven volunteer “Angels” worked on the pillowcases. Each one is uniquely made from a cheerful print fabric and embroidered with animals or characters. Many Kingman residents donated fabric for the effort. The pillowcases help to create a more homelike environment for children who must undergo a hospital stay. Once discharged, they can take their pillowcase home as a keepsake. The Kingman Angel Network was organized in 2002 with the mission to “help people from the heart.” The group provides a variety of services in the Kingman area, which include gathering school supplies for needy children, organizing gift and food donations during the Holidays, and helping people find assistance through area agencies. For

Angel,” contact Diane Manning at 692-9048.
