State Farm and Rhodes Homes Help Keep Kids Safe

During the KRMC Kids Day held on April 22nd, a car seat safety check was conducted, sponsored by Deana Nelson State Farm Insurance and Rhodes Homes. During the event, 65 car seats were replaced that were either outdated or unsafe for use. One of the replaced car seats had been recalled back in the late 1980's and was considered the most dangerous car seat ever manufactured.

Technicians from the Mohave County Public Health Department, Edith Fricke and Gaylann Caban, participated in the safety check as well as volunteers from Dean Nelson State Farm Insurance and Kingman Regional Medical Center. Afterwards, the defective car seats were destroyed.
