KRMC
Receives Governor’s Innovation
Award
Kingman
Regional Medical Center was recently notified that it had been chosen
to receive the
Arizona’s “Governor’s Innovation Award”. This
award is given to projects and organizations that promote innovation
and technology in their area. KRMC is the first recipient of this award
in rural Arizona.
Governor Janet Napolitano will present the award at a reception on
Thursday, April 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the KRMC Healing Garden adjacent
to the hospital’s main entrance. Light refreshments will be served
and the public is welcomed to attend.
Governor Napolitano is current chair of the National Governors Association
and has spearheaded “Innovation America” as her signature
initiative. Innovation America focuses on improving states’ abilities
to compete in the global economy by providing opportunities for increased
science, technology, engineering and math in K-12 education, enabling
post-secondary education to better support innovation, and creating
state policies that foster innovation in business. For more information,

this honor three out of the last four years and was the only hospital
in Arizona on this year’s list.
