Physician Interns & Residents Graduate from KRMC Teaching Program


On Friday, June 4th, Kingman Regional Medical Center graduated five interns and three residents from its Graduate Medical Education Program. The graduation dinner was held at the Hualapai Mountain Resort with the graduates and their families, as well as physicians, administrators and board members of the hospital in attendance.

Donald L. Morgan, D.O., Director of Medical Education gave the welcome and introductions. Brian Turney, CEO, gave the invocation and Mitch Kasovac, D.O., Director of Medical Education for Mesa General Hospital, was the guest speaker.

Waldemar Klimach, M.D., Administrative Director of Medical Education presented Intern Graduate Certificates to Kathern Auer, D.O., Larry Drumm, D.O., Raymond Knisley, D.O., Chad Peterson, D.O., and Jason Taylor, D.O. Four of the five interns will be continuing their residency training at KRMC.

Don A. Anderson, D.O., Dermatology Residency Program Director, presented a Dermatology Graduate Certificate to V. Thomas Mackey, D.O. Dr. Mackey will be practicing in Sun City, Arizona.

Donald L. Morgan, D.O. presented Family Practice Graduate Certificates to Lorene Hamilton, D.O. and John Weidner, D.O. Dr. Weidner will be practicing at KRMC’s Cerbat Medical Center as a Family Practice physician.

KRMC takes great pride in being the only rural teaching institution in Arizona. The success of the program is evidenced by its continued growth. There are a total of 20 interns and residents in KRMC’s 2005 class, compared to 14 in 2004.
