KRMC Volunteer Auxiliary Recognition Ceremony The Kingman Regional Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary held a luncheon on Tuesday, June 6th, to install new officers, recognize members volunteer hours and present a check to the hospital. Retiring President, Dick Hubert, led the installation ceremony. New officers of the Auxiliary are Richard Flynn, President; Dorothy Vance, First Vice President; Pat Shook, Second Vice President; Sandra Cofer, Secretary/Treasurer and Judy Stahl, Corresponding Secretary. There are currently 90 active volunteers and 27 volunteens who have contributed a total of 21,600 hours in the past year. Leana Asplin, KRMC Volunteer Coordinator, distributed pins to the members recognizing their hours of volunteerism. Mr. Hubert also presented a check for $30,000 to JoAnne Price, KRMC's Executive Director of Quality Management. The donation will pay for special equipment needs at the hospital including an infant warmer with a life-support system for the perinatal unit. The KRMC Volunteer Auxiliary provides services throughout the hospital that include helping at the information desk, discharging patients, transporting pharmacies and labs, delivering flowers and mail, conducting blood pressure clinics as well as coordinating quarterly blood drives. Through fundraisers sponsored by the Volunteer Auxiliary, they also provide scholarships to medical students who maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average and plan to work at KRMC after graduation. care physician practice (Cerbat Medical Center), advanced medical programs
in cardiology, cancer, and rehabilitation, and home health and hospice
care. KRMC has 213 licensed beds and is Joint Commission accredited.
The hospital employs over 1,200 employees, 150 volunteers, and 100 physicians/
allied health professionals who embrace our hospital's non-profit mission
of "Serving Our Community with Compassion and Commitment." We are also
honored to serve as a teaching hospital in affiliation with Midwestern
University to train doctors specializing in family practice, dermatology
and emergency medicine. .
