kingman Hospital incorporated (kHI) BOARD OF DIRECTORS

KHI is a non-profit corporation governed by an eleven-member executive board and a 25-member board of directors

Kingman Hospital Incorporated (KHI) was established in 1983 as a result of a voter referendum on December 7, 1982 to move the control of the hospital from Mohave County to the community.

On November 1, 1983, Hospital District Number One of Mohave County leased Kingman's only hospital and equipment to KHI. At that time the hospital was named Kingman Regional Hospital and few years later renamed, Kingman Regional Medical Center.

As a non-profit organization, KHI is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes relating to healthcare. Its primary function is to operate Kingman Regional Medical Center.

KHI's Board of Directors consists of 25 members holding terms of five years. The terms are staggered so that five directors are elected or re-elected each year. In turn, the 25-member board elects nine members who are joined by KRMC's Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff to form an eleven-member executive board, which meets monthly to oversee hospital operations.

All board members are community-minded individuals who receive no compensation for their services on the KHI Board.
