November Employee of the Month

Because of her special dedication and concern for patient issues, Lisa Murphy has been named the KRMC Employee-of-the-Month for November. Lisa is the Patient Relations Representative with the Quality Management Department.

A familiar face at KRMC, Lisa meets with over fifty patients per day. She says that she feels for people who suddenly find themselves hospitalized. “They’re in a vulnerable position where they have to depend on the expertise of others,” she says. She helps them feel more in control of their situation by making sure their questions and concerns are thoroughly addressed.

Lisa started at KRMC as a part-time Pharmacy Technician when she was 16 years-old. After graduating school, she worked full time at the hospital. The Director of Quality Management approached her 8 years ago to work as a patient advocate— she has excelled at the job ever since.

“Lisa is a consistent high performer with excellent customer service skills— her follow-up is 100%,” says JoAnne Price, former Executive Director of Quality Management. She adds that Lisa is empathetic, kind, and compassionate and that she can “always be counted on to go the extra mile with a smile and helping hand!”

Lisa says her job would be impossible without the support of the entire Quality Management Department. She says of her coworkers, “They’re always there for me and have great minds for solving problems.”

Lisa lives in Kingman with her husband, Mark; three Bassett Hounds; and one Chihuahua. She enjoys mountain biking, hiking, softball, and riding ATVs.
