OTHER SERVICES
| Our department also has available for the GENERAL PUBLIC and for health care professionals: |
| * brochures and handouts on a large number of health-related topics; |
| * informative video tapes and books for two-week loans; |
| * access to PubMed (the National Library of Medicine’s World Wide Web interface for the premier biomedical database, MEDLINE) and Loansome Doc (the NLM's document ordering system) to order other medical journal articles; |
| * satellite teleconferencing for select programs; |
| * two computer terminals in our office with which you can search the Internet for medical and health-related information. Or ask us to research a topic for you; |
| * American Heart Association-certified CPR courses (new and renewal BLS, ACLS, PALS) for Health Care Professionals. Some of these courses do have registration fees. |
| * Safe Sitter classes, a medically accurate program that teaches young adolescents how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children. |
| * a History of Medicine in Mohave County. |
